We are looking for a HCPC registered locum Practitioner Psychologist (clinical, counselling, forensic) to provide ongoing support in a substance misuse service. The work would consist of seeing patients presenting with substance misuse difficulties, mental health difficulties and complex social circumstances.

Main responsibilities:

• To facilitate group clinical supervision for recovery practitioners and team leaders

• To facilitate monthly reflective practice

• To provide training for staff

• To undertake 1-1 psychological therapy

We are looking for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to provide ongoing specialist psychological assessment and therapy service, at the same time as demonstrating clinical leadership to a Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Loughborough.

Essential Requirements:

• Eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
• Postgraduate doctoral-level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), accredited by the BPS
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) under the Practitioner Psychologist domain
• Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience working as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist within Adult Mental Health
• Evidence of at least two years’ substantive employment at Principal Psychologist grade
• Demonstrable experience in conducting, implementing, or supervising clinical research
• Evidence of delivering teaching and training
• Experience of providing consultation to professional and non-professional groups
• Up-to-date certification in Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults, including Level 3 training for both

Desirable Requirement:

• Accreditation as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) practitioner with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
• Accreditation as an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner or consultant
• Accreditation as a CBT supervisor with BABCP
• Recognition as a trainer with the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in motivational interviewing
• Accreditation as a Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) practitioner
• Previous experience working within the Ministry of Defence (MOD)

Overview:

We are supporting a confidential search for an experienced Lead Clinical Psychologist within a CAMHS hospital setting, with a focus on Eating Disorders (ED). This is a senior-level role combining both clinical delivery and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialist psychological assessment and intervention within a CAMHS Eating Disorders service
• Lead and oversee therapy services in a Head of Therapy capacity
• Support service development and provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team
• Ensure high standards of clinical governance and care

Requirements:
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
• Minimum 10 years’ post-doctoral experience
• Strong CAMHS background, including Eating Disorders experience
