Job Description

Permanent Psychologist

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 3 days/week)
Specialty: Children and Young People
Salary Range: Up to 55,000 (dependent on experience)

Mind Professionals are looking for a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologists with experience working with children, young people and their families, and experience working with early trauma, for a permanent role with a Staffordshire based Independent Psychology Service.

Training in DDP, EMDR, BUSS, SSP and/or play-based therapies would be beneficial and experience working with children with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties, or previous work experience in a residential care setting, is highly desirable.

The post holder will work from a facility in Stoke-on-Trent and will travel to other locations, including residential care homes, in and around the city.

Key Responsibilities include:

– Assessment and treatment for own caseload of clients plus maintenance of associated records.
– Providing, developing and managing highly specialist interventions.
– Clinical supervision for less experienced psychologists, psychological therapists, Assistants and Trainees.
– Co-ordination of provision of specialist service and provision of specialist advice to other professionals and carers.
– Assisting in the overall day-to-day running and management of the company under the guidance of the Clinical Director.

Requirements:

Essential:-
– Psychology Doctorate
– Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
– Clinical experience working with children, families and young people (minimum of 1 year).

Desirable:-
– Experience of working with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties and/or in children’s residential care.
– Post-qualification work experience in a clinical environment
