Job Description
Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Psychiatry – Occupational Health
Location: REMOTE, United Kingdom
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time, Monday-Friday, 22.5 days available (3 days or 0.6 FTE)
Salary: £110-145k FTE
We are looking for a Specialist Registered Consultant Psychiatrist for a Permanent position working with a Psychiatry team and facilitating the provision of high-quality and professional psychiatry care.
A typical day consists of approximately 3–4 new cases and 4–5 follow-up appointments, with some variability. There is usually a higher proportion of new cases during the initial period. The workload is largely clinic-based, and regular team catch-ups are scheduled, including meetings to discuss complex cases.
New assessments involve 60 minutes of clinical contact followed by 15 minutes allocated for administrative tasks. Follow-up appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for administration.
The role also includes prescribing ponsibility where an integrated electronic prescribing and video platform, Meddibase, is used.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside and support your colleagues in the Psychiatry team with the provision of high quality professional psychiatry care. Support referrals through the Occupational Health Pathways and as part of a private psychiatry service.
Requirements:
– Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration and licence to practise.
– On the Specialist Register (SR) as a psychiatrist.
– Previous experience working with adults with mental health disorders and have been part of a multidisciplinary team and have knowledge of UK legislation and caselaw relevant to scope of practice.
