Specialty Doctor
Location: Bradford
Contract: Locum, full time
Service: Women’s Inpatient Service
We are looking for a Speciality Doctor to join a full MDT service, supporting with assessment, recovery-based treatment and rehabilitation for women who have ongoing and challenging mental health problems and may have a dual diagnosis.
There will be a caseload of 12-13 beds within the Low Secure Female Unit, and some patients within this caseload may have a history of involvement in the criminal justice system and exhibit risk behaviours such as aggression or self-harm.
The therapy programme involved in the role aims to:
โข Provide psychological assessment and treatment including individual and group therapies
โข Provide rehabilitation tailored to individual needs
โข Identify recovery goals in collaboration with the service user
โข Help women to regain independence by maximising their skills
โข Work with local services to aid reintegration into the community
โข Balance security and therapy
โข Give access to a standardised treatment programme for those with a history of substance misuse via individual and group therapy
