Job Description
Speech and Language Therapist – Neurorehabilitation
South East London
33,988 to 38,454 per annum
We are currently seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6 equivalent) to join the team at a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre located in South East London.
The centre provides a person-centred inpatient rehabilitation and care for male and female adolescents and adults (over 17 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological condition.
Overview of the post:
To independently manage a highly complex SLT caseload of service users with acquired neurological disorders. This includes carrying out assessment and devising needs led, co-ordinated programmes for communication and swallowing disorders, maintaining high standards of clinical care. To support ongoing development and maintenance of clinical skills through CPD.
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team for service users with complex acquired neurological impairments within an inpatient intensive rehabilitation setting.
To participate in service developments, in-house and external training of non-SLT staff in line with professional experience.
