Job Description
Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Solihull
Band: Consultant
Contract: Permanent, 18.75 (2.5 days)
Salary: £162,780 pro rata
Service: Adult Inpatient
Mind Professionals are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a private clinical team on a part-time basis, managing a caseload of up to ten in-patients across 2.5 days a week. The role holder will be responsible for several duties including:
– Supervising referrals and admissions including contributing to
preadmission assessments of young people with other team members.
– Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the
assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
– Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the
services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service
strategy.
– Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering
supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior
medical staff.
– Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal
College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.
– Contributing to the development and evaluation of services in collaboration with
the Lead Consultant and Clinical Service Manager
– Ensures the services and support provide offers good value for money and
supports the overall aim of the site.
– Is part of an oncall rota for site and may offer cover at satalite sites if reasonably
required.
This role will also be resposible for the Junior Doctor.
Requirements:
– Higher medical qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent)
– Maintained Section 12 Approval
– Approved Clinician and Responsible Clinician status
