Forensic/Clinical Psychologist
Location: Birmingham
Band: 7
Contract: Locum, part time
Service: Acute Adult

We are looking for a Band 7 (or above) Forensic/ Clinical Psychologist to join an acute adult mental health hospital in Birmingham. The hospital has 32 beds, with a current 26-bed current occupancy. The role is 22.5 hours a week, with exact working days and times to be agreed with the successful candidate.

In this role, you will deliver a specialist psychology service, including assessment, formulation, treatment planning, and outcome evaluation. Working closely with our experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will play a key role in managing risk, guiding treatment, and supporting the overall wellbeing and recovery of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake comprehensive clinical psychological assessments using a range of methods (file review, interviews, psychometric and behavioural observation)
• Complete clinical formulations and structured professional judgement risk assessments
• Deliver and evaluate evidence-based individual and group interventions
• Contribute to risk assessment, risk management and treatment planning within the MDT
• Administer, score and interpret clinical and neuropsychological assessments
• Produce high-quality written reports (e.g. CPA, Tribunal reports) and act as a professional witness when required
• Support and guide colleagues in delivering psychologically informed interventions
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, service development and training
