Job Description
Hybrid Locum Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Romford, London, Greater London
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, ending late July
Hours: Full-time (10 PAs) – Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Specialty: CAMHS
Mind Professionals are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with CAMHS experience for full-time locum hybrid work (working 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely) with Children and Adolescents with mental health problems, based in Romford, London, Greater London.
Key Responsibilities:
– 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) post with 7.5 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC) and 2.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs).
– The postholder will be part of the Senior Psychiatrist on-call rota covering out of hours and weekends for Mental Health Services in NELFT.
– The on-call will cover service delivery for Children and Adolescents presenting with mental health problems.
– The successful candidate will work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Redbridge.
– The successful candidate will provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
– The consultant will be expected to provide guidance and supervision to the team, work directly with children and young people (and their families), and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
Requirements:
– Full GMC registration and licence to practise
– Approved Clinician status OR eligibility for it
– Experience in CAMHS
– RiO trained, must be recent
