Job Description

Lead Speech & Language Therapist

Grade/Band: 7
Location: Hampshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time 22.5hrs
Service: Inpatient

We are looking for a Physiotherapist to provide substantive care to a low secure services and level 2 rehabilitation services for both male and female patients. This includes a specialist learning disability and autism spectrum support. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

The role will manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or related field)
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Postgraduate qualification accredited by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
• Relevant clinical experience, including experience within a specialist area
• Skills and experience in working with patients with dysphagia and conducting assessments
• Experience leading and line managing Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) colleagues, or current Band 7 practitioner with a strong interest in developing leadership skills
• Experience of providing clinical supervision and engaging in reflective practice
• Demonstrated interest in supporting and developing Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) services
