Locum Psychologist – Band 8A – Community Learning Disabilities – London
Position: Band 8a Psychologist
Service: Community Learning Disabilities services
Location: London
Rate: Negotiable
Hours: 37.5
Various location within Newham City and Hackney and Tower Hamlets Directorate. This could be negotiated with the hiring manager.
Requirements:
Driving License
HCPC registered
Skills:
-The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy, research and service development within the service as a whole and specifically for psychology within the service.
-The post holder will participate in CPD and other developmental activities, keeping up to date with relevant psychological research and national guidance. They will attend clinical, professional and managerial supervision.
Responsibilities:
The post holder will provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations and therapies, specialist risk assessments and advice on risk management, and the provision of psychological advice and consultation to others involved in service user care. The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will contribute to psychological thinking within the MDT. The clinical work is undertaken in a range of settings primarily within the community, client home, day or educational services with some potential inpatient work.
