Locum CAMHS Practitioner (Band 7)
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, 12 weeks
Hours: Part-time – 4 days/week, 09:00-17:00
Specialty: CAMHS
Mind Professionals are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker for part-time work as a CAMHS Practitioner, based in a clinic setting in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
– The assessment of need and delivery of safe and effective interventions for CYP and managing complex risks, in accordance with recognised clinical guidance.
– Managing and co-ordinating a caseload of CYP with complex MH needs and sharing skills within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
– Supporting and providing clinical leadership within the CAMHS Team
– Working as part of the MDT and in an integrated way with wider teams and services to meet the needs of the CYP & Families.
– Offering advice, support and supervision to other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
– Professional registration (NMC, HCPC, SWE etc) OR equivalent with demonstrable knowledge and continuous post qualified experience/professional development
– Conforms to Professional governing body requirements
– Evidence of extensive post registration experience with working with those who may experience complex mental health needs in the community setting
– Experience of working in the role of Care Co-ordinator for those who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs
– Knowledge of Children’s Act, Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and DOLS
– Knowledge of relevant NICE guidance
– Knowledge of relevant professional code of conduct
