Job Description

Locum Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist

Location: Blackheath, Greater London
Contract: Locum
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (minimum of 2 days per week)
Specialty: Neuro / Brain Injury

Mind Professionals are recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist / Neuropsychologist to provide locum cover at a rehabilitation centre for Brain Injury, based in Blackheath, London, Greater London.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

– Provide specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention for inpatients with neurological conditions (such as head injury, cerebral tumours and stroke)
– Develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of rehabilitation and condition management programmes for patients with neuropsychological disorders
– Undertake assessment of capacity for individual patients and provide advice to other health professionals on psychological aspects of capacity assessment and appropriate means of enabling patients with reduced capacity to engage in informed decision making
– Develop, implement and monitor formal psychological intervention plans for a patient’s emotional difficulties
– Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights

Requirements:

– HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist)
– Experience working with Neuro/Brain Injury patients
– Experience completing and interpreting neuropsychological assessments
