Job Description
Locum Consultant Clinical/Forensic Psychologist
Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start
Hours: Part-time (2 days/wk)
Specialty: Forensic / Liaison
Mind Professionals are looking for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist for part-time locum work, supporting a Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service (FOLs) based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
The post holder will be working to reduce/safely manage behaviour among people with either a Learning Disability, Autism or both, which may put members of the public at risk and potentially lead to contact with the Criminal Justice System or secure hospital admission.
Key Responsibilities:
– Forensic risk assessment and management of risk in the community to ensure public safety and safety of the individual
– Delivery of offence specific therapeutic interventions and treatments.
– Case management
– Support and training to other agencies providing day to day support to this group
– Consultation
– In-reach support to ensure safe and timely discharge
Requirements:
– HCPC registration as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist
– Experience working with patients with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
– Risk assessment experience
– Good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
– Good working knowledge of Health and Social Care pathways
