Job Description

Locum Community Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6) – MOD

Location: Telford, Shropshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, ending late November (initially)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk)
Specialty: Community Services / Adult
Total Pay/Hour: ยฃ28.28 (Paid VIA Approved Umbrella)

Mind Professionals are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse for full-time Locum work as a Community Mental Health Practitioner within a Department of Community Mental Health site in Telford, Shropshire.

Essential Requirements:

– NMC Registratoion
– United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered psychotherapist with post-graduate training and accreditation in NICE recognised modality for common mental disorders (e.g. CBT, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression etc).
– Experience working within adult mental health services; Experience of working in a Community Mental Health setting.
– Demonstrable experience of using NICE recommended Psychological interventions for common mental disorders.
– Must have 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a Mental Health role.

Desirable Qualifications:

– Possess a post graduate qualification/accreditation in evidence based psychological treatments.
– Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience.
– Full driving licence valid in the UK.

– You will join and become part of a multidisciplinary team, working within well equipped medical centres, dental centres or rehabilitation units where you will be valued as part of the Defence Medical Services team
– Deliver a professional & personal service at all times
– Ability to work alongside military personnel on Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force bases to deliver an exceptional standard of care for service personnel and their families (at some locations)
