Job Description

Locum Community Mental Health Practitioner (Band 7) – MOD – Oxfordshire

Location: Carterton, Oxfordshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk)
Specialty: Community Services
Total Pay/Hour: £30.64 (Paid VIA Approved Umbrella)

Mind Professionals are looking for a qualified and professionally registered Mental Health Nurse for full-time locum work in Community Services, working as part of a Department of Community Mental Health in Carterton, Oxfordshire.

Essential requirements:

Must either:

– Be a Mental Health Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have a MSc or Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Mental Health clinical speciality, preferably but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
– OR Hold a professional registration with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)/EMDR UK & Ireland, and Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and be accredited in either EMDR or CBT.
– Must have 3 years’ experience in a Mental Health Role.
– Must in date for Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and be able to provide certification.
– Must hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance.
– Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.

Desired:

– Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience.
– MSc or Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
– Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Parts 1, 2, or Accredited
Practitioner.
– Full driving licence valid in the UK
