Job Description
Locum Community Nurse (Band 6)
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, 12 weeks
Hours: Full-time
Specialty: CAMHS / Neurodevelopment / Autism / ADHD
Mind Professionals are looking for two Registered Mental Health Nurses or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses for full-time locum work, triaging to support or plans to have initial assessments to identify if a diagnostic assessment is indicated, based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Remote working is available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
– Parental discussions to allow for a full triage to occur
– Neurodevelopmental screening of referrals
– Liaison with schools and other professionals
– Contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings
– Record writing to ensure communication
– The ability to communicate the outcome of triage to the referrer
Requirements:
– NMC registration
– Relevant academic qualification or equivalent
– ADHD, Autism or Child experience (essential)
– Ability to triage referrals and communicate rationally
