Job Description
Locum Consultant Psychiatrist – Forensic Psychiatry
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, until August 2025
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) – Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Specialty: Forensic Psychiatry
Mind Professionals are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist for full-time locum work on a 16-bed Low Secure male ward for those with mental illness, personality disorder or both, based in a hospital in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
– The post holder will have responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the clinical health-improvement service delivered by the hospital to the patients under your care.
– The post holder be responsible for patient assessment diagnosis and the delivery of treatment plans (physical, mental, psychological, dietary and occupational etc).
– The post holder will ensure the hospital works in accordance with all legal and clinical guidelines.
– The post holder will lead both governance and people via the multi-disciplinary team. This also includes attending Horizon meetings and access assessments for provider collaboratives.
Requirements:
– Full GMC registration and licence to practise
– Previous and recent Forensic experience
