Job Description
Locum Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, ending August
Hours: Full-time – Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Specialty: CAMHS / Learning Disabilities / Neurodevelopment
Mind Professionals are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with MRCPsych and ideally a CCT in Child Psychiatry. However, Adult Psychiatrists may be accepted provided they have CAMHS/Learning Disabilities experience) for full-time locum work.
The post holder will work as part of a Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disabilities service, based in Canturbury, Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
– Managing clinical caseload of young people 0-18 with co-morbid mental health & severe and profound learning difficulties.
– Prescribing and monitoring medication.
– Supporting the MDT in psychiatric formulation and risk management.
– Engaging with professional networks.
Requirements:
– Full GMC registration and licence to practise
– Section 12 (desirable)
– MRCPsych
– CCT in Child Psychiatry (ideal)
– At least 6 months experience in CAMHS and Learning Disabilities
– Valid driving licence
