Job Description
Locum Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6)
Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, ending late August
Hours: Full-time – Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Specialty: Community (CMHT)
Mind Professionals are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker for full-time locum work as a Mental Health Practitioner. The post holder will be working as part of a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), based in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:
– To manage a caseload of service user’s with a range of mental health problems
– To complete work both at the base and within the community
Requirements:
– Relevant professional registration (NMC, HCPC etc)
– Relevant academic qualification or equivalent
– Experience in working clinically with service users experiencing a range of mental health problems
– Experience in assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs and pathways for people with complex mental health issues in the community.
– Experience and knowledge of risk assessment and management
– The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
– The ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs in mental health and well-being
– Car driver essential
