Locum Occupational Therapist – Military – Rehabilitation Trauma Specialist
Required in Loughborough, Leicestershire
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours
Start date: ASAP
Band 6
Pay: 30.38 per hour paid via an MoD approved Umbrella Company
Contract: Locum
We are looking for a band 6 HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, to offer locum cover within their Complex Trauma and Neurorehabilitation service in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Occupational Therapist – Essential Requirements:
Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
State Registered on the College of Occupational Therapy Register and not subject to any restrictions in practice.
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Must be fully training in the use of standardised assessments.
About the Role – You will:
– Undertake minor ailments triage: Dealing with minor ailments, triaging patients appropriately and providing medication if required via prescription.
– Support evidence based cost effective prescribing, patient compliance and reduction of waste through medication review.
– Reconcile medicines for individual patients following hospital discharge or referral to secondary/tertiary care and co-ordinate repeat prescribing reauthorisation process.
– Join and become part of a multidisciplinary team, working within well equipped medical centres, dental centres or rehabilitation units where you will be valued as part of the Defence Medical Services team
– Deliver a professional & personal service at all times
– Work alongside military personnel on Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force bases to deliver an exceptional standard of care for service personnel and their families (at some locations)
