Locum Psychologist – Band 7 – CAMHS – Newham
Position: Psychologist Band 7
Service: CAMHS
Location: Newham, London
Rate: Negotiable
Hours: 37.5 per week.
The role working within the FDT involves:
• Triaging referrals into CAMHS, including the assessment and prioritisation of clinical complexity and risk.
• Effectively assessing and prioritising clinical complexity and risk.
• Effectively liaise with referrers, professionals, partners and agencies in relation to referrals, assessments and any other general queries
• To provide a quality specialist service to clients (and their families/carers) referred to CAMHS across all sectors of care.
• Ooffering group and brief interventions where necessary.
The role working within E&B involves:
• Providing specialist assessment and intervention for complex mental health needs and to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise systematic governance of practice within CAMHS
• There is a broad range of therapeutic interventions offered and the post holder would be supported and encouraged to develop skills in group work, alongside individual clinical work.
