Job Description
Locum Remote Practitioner Psychologist – Bariatrics – Derbyshire – Outside IR35
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Contract: Locum – Start January, for 5/6 weeks initially depending on caseload.
Hours: Full-time or Part-time – Flexible working days – working from home remotely
Service: Tier 3 Bariatric Service (waiting list initiative)
Specialty: Physical Health
Pay: Attractive and highly competitive rate of pay
Mind Professionals are seeking interest from Psychologists (Clinical, Counselling or Health) experienced working with a wide variety of client groups and presentations, including individuals living with obesity, for a part time (weekend) locum role in Derby.
As an integral member of a Tier 3 Bariatrics team, you will provide psychological and diagnostic assessments to patients preparing for bariatric surgery and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support patients through their weight management journey, addressing psychological factors that impact eating behaviours, weight management, and overall mental health.
Requirements:
– HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist
– Experience in Bariatrics (ESSENTIAL)
– Experience of working with individuals living with obesity
– Experience of working within a clinical health care setting
– Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups and presentations
– Experience using a range of evidence-based group and individual psychological interventions
– Experience of working in an MDT
