Locum Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

Location: Isleworth, London, Greater London
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, 2 months
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Specialty: Older People’s Services

Mind Professionals are looking for an Occupational Therapist for full-time Locum work as part of an Older People’s service, based in Isleworth, Greater London.

Key Responsibilities:

– To ensure that the professional standards and ethics as set out by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) and Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) are adhered to at all times.
– To complete and record attendance and participation in Trust Induction and Secondary Induction.
– To ensure that mandatory training is kept up to date.
– To educate other professionals, carers and clients about occupational therapy as a specific intervention.
– To understand and adhere to policies and procedures of the department, team, directorate and Trust.
– To ensure that links with statutory and voluntary agencies are maintained.
– To be a role model of professional behaviour and practic
– To exercise good personal time management, punctuality and consistent reliable attendance.
– To undertake any other duties commensurate to the grade, which may be required from time to time, to ensure the smooth running of the service as directed by the head occupational therapist or manager of service.

Requirements:

– HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
– BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
– Evidence of post-qualified training in Mental Health
– Post-qualifying expereience within Older People’s services
– Experience of multidisciplinary team working
– Understanding of Clinical and environmental risk/s
– Evidence of ability in OT assessment, treatment planning
