Job Description
Locum Senior Social Worker
Location: Uxbridge, London, Greater London
Contract: Locum – Starting late June, ending late September
Hours: Full-time (36 hrs/week)
Specialty: Mental Health / Adult
Pay Rate: £34.95 (Umbrella)
Mind Professionals are looking for a Senior Social Worker for full-time locum work in Adult Health and Social Care. The post holder will be working with Adults with severe and enduring mental disorders in hospital discharge, based in Uxbridge, London, Greater London.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage a wider, increasingly complex social work caseload including safeguarding adults, with more autonomy.
– Demonstrate expertise in one or more areas of social work practice. Use range of frameworks for assessment and intervention.
– Provide support for trainees and other employees, including acting as a ‘buddy’ for inductees.
– Take responsibility for obtaining regular, effective supervision from appropriate Social Worker to ensure effective practice, critical reflection and career development.
– Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and use of knowledge related to area of practice, including critical awareness of current issues and new evidence-based practice research.
Requirements:
– SWE registration
– Academic qualification or equivalent in Social Work / Social Care
– Statutory experience working with people with severe and enduring mental disorders, primarily those in the process of being discharged from hospital settings
