Locum Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist
Location: Barnet, London
Contract: Locum – ASAP start, 2 months
Hours: Full-time – Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00
Service: Memory Clinic
Mind Professionals are looking for a Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist with experience in a Memory Service (and preferably with S12 approval) for full-time Locum work as part of a Memory Service based in Barnet, London.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide memory assessments and treatment plans for patients under the memory service
– Provide leadership and clinical advice to colleagues within the memory service
– Provide treatment based on knowledge of the evidence for pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, in accordance with NICE and relevant guidelines
– Ensure effective and timely documentation on electronic patient notes (RiO)
– Provide support in formulating treatment plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team
– Ensure the review and care of patients’ physical health through liaison with other agencies including the patients GP and general hospital services.
– Promote mental health and independence for all people
– Provide clinical and professional leadership in the service
– Provide support to carers and relatives of people, including them wherever possible and in care plans
– Facilitate access to a range of community orientated services to those who may need them
– Liaise effectively with other Trust services and external partner agencies in the best interests of patients
– Provide a service of the highest quality, within the limits of our resources
– Support non-medical colleagues in working independently
Requirements:
– Full GMC registration and licence to practise
– Section 12 approval (preferable)
– Memory service experience (required)
