Job Description

Advanced Occupational Therapist

Band: 7
Location: West Midlands
Contract: Locum – until 2/7/26
Hours: 37.5
Service: Community/Acute

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide community-based and acute specialist occupational therapy input into a multidisciplinary, client focused therapy service.

Specific Details:
· HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a recognised degree and extensive experience in acute mental health and community settings
· Skilled in delivering a range of evidence-based OT assessments and interventions, both direct and indirect
· Strong clinical reasoning with ability to contribute to MDT formulation, risk assessment, and risk management
· Confident in managing complex and sensitive situations using sound professional judgement
· Experience supervising staff and supporting team development
· Ability to contribute to service improvement, audits, and identifying gaps in care
· Maintain safe, structured, and patient-centred therapeutic environments
· Effective MDT working and collaboration with external/third-sector services
· Clear communication, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical governance and Trust policies
· Adaptable with strong organisational skills to manage workload in fast-paced settings
· Full UK driving licence with access to own transport
