Job Description

Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Location: North London
Job Type: Permanent (will consider locum)
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week
Salary: Competitive – commensurate with experience and qualification

Mind Professionals are looking for an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist for a permanent position based at a school for children with special needs who are aged between 5 and 19.

The ethos of the school will meet the needs of the Jewish Community through providing a broad secular and religious education with therapeutic and life skills programmes as an integral part of the school day.

The school was rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in July 2025.

The OT will be an integral part of the therapy department and will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will have access to specialist OT clinic rooms, classrooms, and a wide range of therapeutic equipment to support their practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– To provide occupational therapy assessment (e.g. functional behavioural and
standardised assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories and interviews) and
intervention in accordance with the childโ€™s needs and requirements as stated within the
statement/EHCP
– Develop intervention plans based on student needs and regularly evaluate.
– Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations and develop individual education plans and intervention plans to achieve IEP goals.
– Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge as required. E.g. Annual Reviews, EHCP
requests for information etc.

Requirements:
– 3 + years post OT qualification working in pediatrics
– Experience in working across a multi-professional team
– Experience working with parents and volunteers
– Experience managing and evaluating resources within a setting
– Occupational Therapy Qualification
– Registered with the
