Job Description

Occupational Therapist

Grade/Band: 6/7
Location: Hackney
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours
Specialty: SEND

Responsibilities:

1. To provide occupational therapy assessment (e.g. functional behavioural and
standardised assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories and interviews) and
intervention in accordance with the child’s needs and requirements as stated within the
statement/EHCP.

2. Develop intervention plans based on student needs and regularly evaluate.

3. Monitor and reassess the effects of occupational therapy intervention and the need to
continue, modify, or discontinue intervention.

4. Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings
with other disciplines, offer recommendations and develop individual education plans and
intervention plans to achieve IEP goals.

Requirements:
– 3 + years post OT qualification working in paediatrics
– Experience in working across a multi-professional team
– Registered with the HCPC
