Job Description

Registered Practitioner Psychologist

Location: Royston, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) – Part-time will be considered
Specialty: Adult / Acute / Inpatient
Salary: ยฃ48,250 per annum

Mind Professionals are looking for a Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Forensic or Counselling) for full-time work. The post holder would be providing psychological services to Adult Males across an Acute service, covering two wards in a private setting, based in Royston, Cambridgeshire.

This role does offer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

– To provide specialist service to people with a mental disorder through developing psychological formulations and assessments, and formulating plans for their psychological treatments.
– To work alongside colleagues, offering specialist psychological assessments, formulations and brief interventions.
– To provide specialist advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals.
– To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teamโ€™s policies and procedures.
– To provide supervision to assistant and trainee psychologists as required.

Requirements:

– HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
– Completed a postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychology
– Experienced in working with people with complex mental health needs, including psychosis and severe interpersonal difficulties as part of their presentation
– Experience of working in an acute setting (desirable)
– Experience of at least one therapeutic modality (desirable)
– To be familiar with working through a trauma-informed lens to understand the life events of individuals, and to use evidence-based interventions to alleviate distress
