Job Description
Residential Clinical Practitioner
Location: Orpington, Kent
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time
Specialty: CAMHS / Trauma
Salary Range: £48,000-£50,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
Mind Professionals are recruiting for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist OR a UKCP Registered Child Psychotherapist for part-time work as part of a Children’s Residential Service, based in Orpington, Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
– The post holder will provide direct clinical support to looked-after children in our Residential service, supporting the children in the company residential homes and therapy suites.
– The post holder will also work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team and lead on all aspects of delivery relating to the ATIC model of care.
– Additionally, the post holder will provide consultancy and training to staff teams, develop assessment reports, and create therapeutic support plans.
– This role will include some travelling to the Salisbury area for occasional CPD events.
Requirements:
– Clinical psychologists or counselling psychologists must be HCPC-registered (pending registration considered if you have a doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology)
– Child psychotherapists must be UKCP registered and accredited
– Must have experience relating to working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and maltreatment
– Must have experience working with families and professional statutory systems around looked-after children (eg local authorities, CAMHS)
– Experience completing clinical assessments and delivering training programmes (desirable)
