Job Description

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Havering
Band: 6
Contract: Locum, until 31/3/26
Service: Paediatric Audiology

We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a service that provides support to children and young people who have difficulty with communication, eating, drinking and swallowing.
The team is able to assess, diagnose and provide treatment to support children and young people who are having difficulties with:
• Attention and listening
• Social communication
• Receptive language (understanding)
• Expressive language
• Articulation and phonology (speech sounds)
• Fluency (stammering)
• Voice production
• Selective mutism
• Eating, drinking and swallowing
A key element of the role is someone who is calm and approachable, and able to work independently as well as alongside a full MDT.
