Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Wellington, Somerset
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Up to Full-time

Salary: Up to £42,000
Mind Professionals are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with experience in Mental Health for up to full-time Permanent work, based at a 75 bed hospital for men and women with mental health problems, located in Wellington, Somerset.
The post holder will lead group therapeutic group sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication. Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
– Demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management.
– Leading group therapeutic group sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication.
– Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery.
– Undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.
Requirements:
– HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
– Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
– Experience of working with families
– Evidence of continuing Professional Development
– Specialist knowledge in the areas of mental health care services
