Theraputic Childrens Home Manager

Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Salary range: ยฃ40,680 – ยฃ48,305 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover – 12 months
Hours: 40 per week (includes some evening and weekend work and rotaโ€™d on-call duties)

Mind professionals are looking for an individual for a 12 month maternity leave cover fixed time Therapeutic Home Manager role based at a 4 bed therapeutic children’s home in West Sussex.

The home offers a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for up to four children. This is an opportunity to develop skills in Therapeutic work with children within a long-standing Therapeutic Community.

There is on site parking and good transport links.

As Therapeutic Home Manager, you will:
– Be responsible for the daily running of the Home in compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
– Ensure a high standard of therapeutic care is maintained
– Model good parental care and provide on-call support as part of a rota
– Support your team in their development and reflective practice
– Help children build trust, manage their emotions, and improve self-esteem

Essential Requirements:
– Minimum of 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience in residential childcare – supervisory / management level
– Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or currently working towards)
– Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
– Full UK driving licence
– A passion for therapeutic work and supporting children through trauma
