Job Description
Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Oxton
Contract: Locum – until 29/5/26
Hours: 3 days/week
Service: Community Paediatrics – CAMHS ASD
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide ongoing clinical support for a 2-month sickness cover position in Oxton. This is a face-to-face CAMHS role requiring on-site presence for at least 2 of the 3 working days per week.
The post involves conducting Neurodevelopmental Disorder (NDC) assessments, managing complex NDC cases, and overseeing the initiation and ongoing management of medication for ADHD and autism. The successful candidate will also provide supervision to Non-Medical Prescribers and resident doctors as required.
There is no on-call commitment for this role. Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
The role is supported by a full MDT.
Requirements:
• AC and Section 12 is desirable
