Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist
Location: Royston, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Specialty: Acute / Inpatient
Salary: ยฃ80,000
Mind Professionals are looking for 2 Specialty Doctor Psychiatrists with experience working in Inpatient settings with patients with significant mental health difficulties for full-time work in a high dependency rehabilitation unit in Royston, Cambridgeshire.
Key Responsibilities:
– To deliver high quality clinical service to patients and to work closely with the unitโs multidisciplinary team, Resident Medical Officer (RMO) and General Practitioner to ensure that patients receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme based on the recovery model.
– Undertake psychiatric and external assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the unit multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of the Care Programme.
– Prepare discharge summaries, reports and other associated documentation as necessary e.g. for CPA meetings, as directed and supervised by the Consultant Psychiatrist.
– Participation in Clinical Governance activities, and account for contracted hours utilised in research, Continuing Professional Development and other non-clinical duties as necessary and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
– Full GMC registration and licence to practise
– MBBS or equivalent in the relevant areas of Psychiatry
– In good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
– Have an appraisal or RITA within the last year
– CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of Psychiatry
– Experience working within Inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
– Highly sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
